The sound of the metallic clickety-clack and the sight of a someone typing on a manual typewriter perched on his lap turned heads recently at the Public Market.

Karl Smith, 26, a doctoral candidate at the University of Rochester in biophysics, offered 10-cent stories while you waited. Many took him up on the offer.

Tina Macintyre-Yee did a video story and an article in the 10/4/15 Democrat and Chronicle about my 10 cent story project, which got picked up by USA TODAY on 10/6/15.

WROC-TV did two stories about me on 11/6/15.

Time Warner Cable News Rochester also did a story about me on 11/5/15


WRUR 88.5 FM Rochester premiered two of the Pocket Radio Theater’s radio dramas on 11/3/15

When the croak of seagulls hovering over Lake Ontario’s shores washes over The Bootleggers soundscape in “Episode 1: A Fine Day for a Felony,” it’s not difficult to visualize a couple of bootlegging smugglers approaching Rochester’s shores in 1921.

Carlie Fishgold wrote a flattering and evocative story about the PRT that was featured in the U of R’s News Center.

I’ve also been featured lately in the U of R’s Alumni Magazine The Rochester Review – “The Scientist as Storyteller” and the student newspaper The Campus – “Fun on a Dime
